The Day We Lost The Sun

On Monday we got our first taste of night, as the sun set below the horizon after about 2 months with the “mignight sun”. We also got some sunset colours, rolling low cloud and sea fog.

This was the view towards Dyrøy:

This was looking from Finnsnes towards Siland on Senja:

And back again in Finnsnes, looking out over Silsand and Senja:

  1. Do you panic when that first day comes? How late was it when the sun set? You must be quite the night owl. All is well here. Have worked up a fine program for next year and are beginning to get serious about hosting a regional AGO Convention in 2019, I think.
